About My Clients
I work with people who are overcoming difficulties in their lives pertaining to mental health and stress or trauma. I work with people 18 and over- many of my clients are twenty-somethings looking to resolve stuff from the past in order to set a better course for their future.
My Background and Approach
My best therapeutic quality is warm acceptance and meeting you where you're at. My style is more informal and relaxed. I am inquisitive and curious when it comes to figuring out what may be going on with your mental health, so we may end up doing a lot of questionnaires and assessment tools to get a better idea because it can be easy to miss things. My background is clinical mental health counseling. My first jobs and internships were within residential programs for severely mentally ill adults, and community outreach to homeless individuals with mental health conditions. I was trained in EMDR therapy in 2018 and have since focused primarily on treating trauma. I spend a lot of time on continuing education workshops and seminars because I can never learn enough and always want to be better at helping. I am also licensed in Massachusetts (LMHC #12503) for online therapy.
