About My Clients
Are difficult life experiences affecting your well-being and relationships? Are you feeling ready to move through the pain toward a life of safety, empowerment and joy? I work with teens and adults who've been through difficult things to facilitate healing, resilience and connection. So please know that there's no need to cope with these challenges or manage your mental health alone--if you're ready to overcome whatever is holding you back, please reach out!
My Background and Approach
I tailor my approach to the interests, goals and personality of each person I work with, but I often incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, body-based / mindfulness approaches, psychoeducation, and solution-based methods. I aim to balance emotional support and understanding your past--including the hard things you've been through--with skill-building, healing work, and an orientation toward the future. In therapy, I hope to create a relationship that feels safe, authentic and affirming. Within that context, I conduct a thorough assessment so I really understand who you are as a person and what brings you to therapy, and then we collaboratively develop goals for our work together. Our pursuit of these goals may include processing past experiences, analyzing and modifying your ways of thinking, and learning skills for managing difficult feelings, all to help you feel better and create the life you want.
