My Background and Approach
I am a former attorney who went back to school to become a licensed counselor in mid-life. I am advanced trained in Acceptance Commitment Therapy. ACT is a unique model of counseling and coaching based on mindfulness and values that sets you up for complete wellbeing. It DOES relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression, but the aim of ACT is so much greater than that. Through ACT, not only do you become “un-stuck”, you also learn exactly what direction you want to take in your life, and the actions that will get you there. ACT maximizes human potential, leading to a rich, meaningful life. I help you increase your self-value, find clarity regarding your values, and take imperfect action toward what is most important to you.

I believe we should approach each other with respectful curiosity. The kind of therapy I practice is all about helping you find clarity around YOUR values, not mine. I look to help you get clear on who you are and who you want to be, and uncover any self-limiting thoughts that are getting in your way of you having the life that you want.
