Existential depression is a deep emotional experience often tied to ongoing questions of existence, purpose, and the human condition. It tends to show up in profound emptiness, hopelessness, and an overwhelming feeling that you or your life lacks meaning. Through compassionate guidance and thoughtful, direct reflection, we work to transform existential despair into a catalyst for personal growth and self-discovery.

If you find yourself constantly prioritizing others' needs over your own, struggling with boundaries or a sense of self, or feeling stuck in a cycle of perpetual caretaking, you may be experiencing codependency. The aim in this relational work is to explore roots of these patterns while developing healthier means of relating to others and, most importantly, to yourself.

It is a baseline human need to seek out connection, and the means of that seeking is deeply rooted in the patterns and understandings developed in early life. Approaching this work can be helpful if you are seeking to improve your romantic relationships, family dynamics, or simply your overall sense of connection and well-being to yourself and others.

Relational therapy is often used to address a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity exploration. It can be applied in individual, couples, family, or group therapy settings. The primary goal is to help clients develop healthier, more satisfying relationships and a deeper understanding of themselves in the context of their connections with others.

While it is historically associated with Freudian psychoanalysis, contemporary psychodynamic therapy has evolved to incorporate various theories and techniques from different schools of thought and is effective in addressing many challenges, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship issues, and unresolved trauma. This is a collaborative process, my role facilitating self-exploration and insight rather than offering direct advice or solutions.

Existentialism is a philosophical and introspective approach that invites clients to engage in deep self-exploration and reflection to discover their own unique path to meaning and fulfillment. The aim of this approach is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to explore more existential concerns (freedom, choice, death, purpose) and ultimately make shifts in their lives that align with their authentic selves.
