About My Clients
I work with young adults and adults. I value supporting people who are facing significant life transitions, questions around identity and self (e.g. “Who am I?”), indecisiveness or indecision, stressors related to school/work, struggles with control, navigating difficult family dynamics, anxiety, depression, lack of self-empowerment or assertiveness, and faith or religious identity concerns. I work with people who are seeking to be more truly themselves in how they feel and how they live.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling rests primarily on the tenets of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My goal is to help you find deeper, truer ways of living that align with what you value most. If you are feeling stuck, like your actions don’t match up with who you want to be, or you’re simply overwhelmed and don’t feel like you can keep it together, we can work together to foster greater depth, freedom, and meaning in your life. I seek to bring warmth, openness, sincerity, and curiosity to counseling, creating a welcoming space for you to explore and become more fully who you are. In our work together, I hope that you will feel both respected and seen.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my free time, you will most likely find me cuddling with a cat while drinking copious amounts of tea from a favorite yellow teapot. I also cherish reading, going on meandering walks, getting together with family and friends, and painting with watercolors.
