About My Clients
In our work together, I hope to help you better understand yourself, your partner, or your teenager to create lasting changes. As an LGBTQ+ therapist, I celebrate diverse identities and ensure that therapy is a respectful space to express yourself. I work with a lot of couples working to resolve conflict, individuals on processing family estrangement and building self-confidence, and with families on deepening their understanding of each other.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is active, supportive, and compassionate. I strive to meet you where you are, helping you build insight into patterns that may be holding you back while also developing practical tools to address your needs. I believe therapy should be tailored to you, and be supportive of your relationships and prioritize your personal needs. I am also a doctoral candidate and have published in the journal of marriage and family therapy. I provide trainings on transforming suicide care in private practice and working with individuals on relational issues. I have experience in residential treatment centers, university clinics, and schools working with people and families ages 12 and up.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Whether you're dealing with life transitions, relationship issues, or reconnecting with yourself, therapy can be a space to explore any issue. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel heard, validated, and empowered. I also have personally seen and learned the latest research about how improving family relationship creates lasting change. Lastly, therapy is not a neutral profession. Your autonomy and dignity are deeply and personally important to me, and I prioritize them in all of my work. Taking the first step can feel big, but I'm here to help during every step.
