About My Clients
I offer therapy that helps you move forward. Whatever the frustration or challenge, we will work together to uncover the patterns shaping how you feel and relate, and find ways to shift how they shape your life now. My evidence-based approach draws upon years of training to help you identify the dynamics within yourself you may be unaware of, which quietly influence your daily life, and to awaken a fuller range of your psychological resources.
My Background and Approach
I am a supervising therapist with 22 years of experience. Currently I am completing advanced training at the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago, one of the few institutes in the U.S. accredited by the ABAP, the gold standard of therapy education. Coming from Mexican-American heritage, I understand how the many layers of our background weave into our inner lives now. For me, therapy is a deeply meaningful journey of becoming more attuned to these layers–engaging with the complexity and mystery of who we are in order to address life’s practical problems and open the door to new possibilities. One of my favorite quotes is from Joseph Campbell: “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”
