Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) works well for trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, and substance to name a few. ACT is the framework I use in approaching client care, to help individuals explore their values and what they are passionate about. Within ACT, I gravitate toward incorporating mindfulness into my work with clients.

Using evidence based approaches, I offer cognitive behavioral therapy for substance, motivational interviewing, and take a harm reduction approach to meet clients where they are at in their recovery.

I have trained extensively in cognitive processing therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), EMDR, and offer COPE for addiction and trauma. I was a provider in a multi-site study and offered Person Centered Therapy. I have extensive training in Trauma, and also offer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for PTSD.

I currently work as an addiction trauma psychologist for the Dept. of VA. I have trained in residential programs and started a virtual intensive outpatient program. I used evidence based approaches in a harm reduction model to meet clients where they are in their recovery goals.

I have always focused on specializing in trauma, and completed a fellowship working with Veterans who have experienced trauma in childhood and in the military. Within this, I have worked with survivors of military sexual trauma (MST) and offer Warrior Renew. Moral Injury is another area I focus upon. Most importantly, I am passionate about helping Veterans transitioning from the military to civilian life.
