About My Clients
Hello! I work with individuals ages 5-21. I am skilled in supporting clients with a variety of concerns including anxiety, anger, depression, grief and loss, family changes, social skills, relationships, suicidal thoughts/self-harm, self-esteem and life transitions. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have and am happy you're here!
My Background and Approach
For the last five years I have supported individuals ages 5-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges within the public school system. Working within elementary, middle, and high schools I am well aware of the challenges and pressures that children and adolescents experience both in and outside of school. I bring years of experience in individual and group counseling, crisis support, and parent consultation to my work with youth. I individualize my approach based on the unique person I'm supporting. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills are frequently utilized in my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every child has the ability to grow, heal, and build resilience and I feel that it is a true honor to partner with youth and families to support this process. I view my clients as a whole individual, with unique strengths and needs informed by their environment and life experiences. I believe that therapy is nothing without a trusted, supportive, relationship. Creating a safe and healing space and relationship is core to my work with youth.
