About My Clients
We work with a diverse population of adolescents and adults, couples and special interest groups. We welcome clients who identify in a variety of ways related to age, gender, race, sexuality, and religion. Many of the people who choose to work with us are highly motivated professionals who are independent and achievement-focused, but may struggle with depression, anxiety, relationships and stress issues. We work with high-school and college students, high-achievers that face many pressures.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a MSW from Fordham University School of Social Service. My approach to therapy is both person-centered and trauma-informed. I have experience working with children, adolescents, teens and adults in individual, couples, and family therapy. I also have experience working with veterans, clients who identify as LGBTQ+ and other marginalized groups. I have training in issues related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, PSTD, relationship issues, life transitions, school issues, self-esteem, substance use, and concussion/brain injury. With my clients, I take a non-judgmental approach; using openness, transparency, and direct communication. I use a cognitive behavioral approach with my clients as well as utilize motivational interviewing and mindfulness techniques to help my clients reach their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We believe that many people seek out therapy not because of their psychological problems, but more so to help them reach their goals, achieve personal growth, and improve self-care. We are here to help you to be your best self.
