About My Clients
Navigating a world that wasn’t designed for your processing style can leave you feeling chronically misunderstood, exhausted, and burnt out. Many neurodivergent adults spend a lifetime masking their true selves, resulting in deep-seated self-doubt, anxiety, and systemic stress. You may have experienced traditional therapy where you felt forced to meet strict, neurotypical expectations that simply didn't fit. We work at your pace, honoring your sensory profile, and communication style.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting adults navigating mental health challenges. I specialize in working with individuals with dual diagnoses, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and a wide range of mental health concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and person-centered, integrating expressive arts, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and somatic practices to help clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change. I strive to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered in your healing journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, accepted, and empowered. My role is not to "fix" clients, but to walk alongside them with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their unique experiences. I value a collaborative, person-centered approach that honors each individual's strengths, culture, identity, and communication style. I believe creativity can access emotions and insights that words alone cannot, making art a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery. I am committed to providing an inclusive, affirming space where neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, and those facing life's challenges can safely explore, grow, and build resilience. Everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, and I strive to make therapy accessible, authentic, and meaningful for each person I serve.
