About My Clients
My clients are often neurodivergent teens and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, misunderstood, or exhausted from trying to meet expectations that do not fit how their minds work. You may be navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, trauma, low self-esteem, or a major life transition. You might want support with executive functioning, relationships, school, work, or simply understanding yourself better. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
My Background and Approach
I am a Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and informed by trauma and family systems. Therapy with me is collaborative, direct, creative, and usually a little unconventional. We might talk, draw, use metaphors, explore patterns, bring in games or fandoms, or create practical systems that work with your brain instead of against it. I tailor sessions to the person rather than expecting everyone to respond to the same formula. My goal is not to make you more "normal." It is to help you understand yourself, reduce shame, recognize your strengths, and build a life that fits you better. You are welcome to bring the sarcasm, hyperfixations, unfinished to-do list, and whatever version of you is actually there that day.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a place where you do not have to make yourself smaller, more conventional, or easier for other people to understand. I value curiosity, autonomy, consent, authenticity, creativity, and respect for the many ways people build meaningful lives. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodiversity-affirming. Clients of all religious, spiritual, and nonreligious backgrounds are welcome, including atheists, Pagans, and people whose beliefs fall outside mainstream traditions. You never need to share my beliefs for us to work well together. My role is to understand what matters to you and help you live more fully in alignment with your own values.
