About My Clients
Whew. The question is prompting me to describe my 'ideal client'. My ideal client is someone who comes to me having been dragged through the mud with low self-esteem and negative beliefs about themselves. Those who come from toxic families, those who've experienced abuse, neglect, and being let down. Those who have been led to believe that they are not valuable.
My Background and Approach
Our work together will be curated for YOU. In other words, it may run the gamut from simply talking about what's on your mind to evidenced based approaches to creative ideas we collaborate on together. Beyond the typical therapeutic strategies everyone uses, I enjoy incorporating humour into my work. Laughing is the one thing at the end of your life you will not wish you did less of. Additionally, for three years I've been training in executive functioning & how to do the thing instead of thinking about doing the thing. Ultimately & regardless of what we work on, I guarantee that you'll be utilizing what you learn here for the rest of your life... not just during our time spent working together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Here's a final take away that's near & dear to my heart, written by Viktor E. Frankl, the brilliant neurologist, psychiatrist, philosopher, & Holocaust survivor. “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” In other words, no one can reach inside our mind and MAKE you feel a certain way.
