About My Clients

My ideal clients are those who crave authentic living, deeper self-awareness, and freedom from emotional or relational patterns that no longer serve them—even if they aren’t sure yet how to get there. They are open (or willing to become open) to doing deep inner work, confronting discomfort, and seeking transformative healing rather than temporary relief.

My Background and Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from several evidence-based models to support clients in their journey toward healing, self-awareness, and authentic living. I recognize that past wounds and unresolved trauma often shape how clients think, feel, and behave in the present. My priority is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can gently explore these experiences at their own pace. This trauma-informed lens allows us to address core issues without re-traumatization, fostering trust and emotional safety. Using CBT principles, I help clients become more aware of the limiting beliefs, distorted thinking patterns, and unhelpful emotional habits that contribute to anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and feeling stuck. Together, we challenge and reframe these patterns to promote healthier thinking, improved mood, and more effective coping strategies.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a therapist, my work is deeply rooted in my personal values and life experiences. As a first-generation Dominican-American woman of color with my own history of trauma, I understand the importance of holding a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can bravely explore their inner worlds without fear of shame or rejection. I believe that every individual—regardless of their past choices, struggles, or circumstances—holds inherent worth and value. My approach is grounded in the conviction that we are all deserving of love, compassion, and understanding. This belief guides me in creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, acceptance, and genuine care, where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to rediscover their true selves. Ultimately, I am committed to walking alongside clients as they heal, grow, and embrace the fullness of who they are—with grace, dignity, and self-compassion.
