About My Clients
I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism, ADHD, and Intellectual Disabilities, as well as people with physical disabilities. I also specialize in working with children as a former school social worker. I have experience with school challenges, home challenges, behavioral challenges and anxiety and depression. My work is rooted in neurodiversity-affirming care.
My Background and Approach
My therapy style is collaborative, supportive, and creative. I often incorporate clients’ special interests, play-based principles, bibliotherapy, puppets, and traditional talk therapy. I also draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and DBT principles. I make sure every client has a coping skill "tool box" to help with everyday stressors. Trying a new therapist can be scary, my main principles are to respect the client, try to understand and to be caring. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and supported. If you’re looking for neurodiversity-affirming therapy, family therapy, or therapy for children, I invite you to reach out and see if we might be a good fit.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people with disabilities should be able to live the life they want. I am a neurodivergent social worker focused on enabling and supporting disabled people to stand against ableism and thrive in the life they choose.
