About My Clients
I love helping neurodivergent people feel more comfortable navigating nuances around sex, sexuality, gender, and relational dynamics. I also receive great fulfillment in working with trauma; particularly religious trauma, scapegoating abuse trauma, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, structural dissociation, dissociative disorders, and delayed identity development. I love working with non-traditional relational dynamics such as poly/ENM, neurodiverse relations, and bdsm/kink dynamics.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is experiential and somatic. Playfulness is a great means of reclaiming vulnerability and combating shame. I believe in the healing that collaborative and transparent exchanges can provide such as those in kink...if done safely and with the proper knowledge. I utilize a collaborative approach, particularly one that sees a non-non-heirarchical approach as one that is trauma-informed. I take an approach that respects the client's own expertise of their experience, and encourage both autonomy and intuition. I utilize IFS, and EFT as well. I particularly place emphasis on modeling emotional language, exploration of client needs and boundaries, and then advocacy skills in these areas.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I want to guide people toward secure attachment so that they feel worthy of love and capable of advocating for their experiences. I strive to reduce shame and reinstate curiosity/self-compassion so that we can have a more mindful connection with ourselves, our bodies, and others. I find reward in working with trauma and its impact on sex and quality of life. My approach is gentle, patient, compassionate, curious, tender, and void of judgment.
