About My Clients
I work with people who are looking to find peace in their relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves. My clients range from trying therapy for the first time to having been looking for the "right fit" for a long time. While eating disorders are my primary focus, I also help clients who are struggling with OCD, ADHD, Depression, or Anxiety. I work to help my clients leave their self doubt behind and work towards living a life that is in line with their personal values.
My Background and Approach
I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology at NC State University and then travelled up the road to UNC Chapel Hill to complete my masters of social work. A social worker at heart, I excel in connecting my clients with resources and promoting client self-determination. I firmly believe that you, the client, are the expert of you and I am strictly in a role to support you in meeting your goals. When I started my career with an eating disorder treatment facility, I utilized a DBT approach. As I moved into the outpatient setting I started integrated concepts from CBT, ACT, Compassion Focused Therapy, and attachment based approaches into my work with clients.
