About My Clients
I have experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, work stress, trauma, grief, and low self-esteem. I also work extensively with people who want to address gender, race, health, and social issues impacting their lives. I often work with reproductive justice issues, women’s health issues, LGBTQIA+ populations, college students and healthcare workers.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about growth and healing and have experience with several different types of therapy we may use in session as needed. I utilize evidence-based practices including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist clients on their therapy journey. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Scranton (yes, the town from The Office) in 2016 and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University in 2018. My therapeutic style is easy-going and relationship-centered. I like to incorporate both structure and some humor in my sessions to help create a relaxed environment for the journey of self-awareness and healing. I am committed to providing trauma informed, gender affirming, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. I attend ongoing trainings to stay current in counseling best practices
