About My Clients
I have particular interests in helping clients with: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting difficulties, addiction, gender and sexuality issues
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Social work in 2018 from the University of Cincinnati and my Master of Social Work in 2019 from the Ohio State University. I have experience in working with foster youth and parents in a home-based setting. I have worked in conducting group-based therapy with both adolescents and adults with a focus on both mental health and addiction. I am currently also employed completing bio-psycho-social assessments with children and adults at a local behavioral health hospital in order to help them determine appropriate treatment plans.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has strengths that make them capable of becoming the person that they want to be. It is my hope to work alongside individuals and assist them in identifying and utilizing those strengths to realize their goals. I believe in loving what you do and doing it well, and am devoted to making progress with clients while giving them control over their therapeutic process. My hope is to work and to learn alongside my clients in navigating daily or long-term stressors that may be negatively impacting their mental health. I like to use a variety of therapeutic methods including strengths-based practice, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
