About My Clients
You may be capable and accomplished, yet privately anxious, disconnected, or unsure whom to trust. I work with adults navigating wealth-related pressures, trauma, relationship patterns, and questions of identity and purpose. Some come after a spiritual awakening or near-death experience that has changed how they understand their lives. My clients want room to speak honestly, examine difficult questions, and develop ways of living that feel more connected and meaningful.
My Background and Approach
I am a California licensed clinical psychologist and author of The Coherence Method. My background spans multicultural and community psychology, forensic settings, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient care, and community practice. My approach brings analytical depth to the relationship between your inner life and the circumstances shaping it. Together, we may explore unconscious conflicts, family narratives, recurring relationship patterns, and the meanings attached to achievement, security, dependence, or control. We also attend to daily life: your sleep, emotions, relationships, and capacity to make choices. My own experience of spiritual awakening informs my sensitivity to experiences that can be difficult to discuss elsewhere. I bring curiosity and clinical discernment to this work, making room for spiritual meaning while attending carefully to stability, functioning, and support needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe our suffering deserves to be understood in context. Our bodies, histories, relationships, cultures, and material circumstances all participate in our psychological lives. Therapy should make room for that complexity, including honest conversations about money, power, privilege, responsibility, and belonging. I value curiosity, compassion, and accountability. Greater freedom includes recognizing both what has shaped us and how we affect others. Insight matters, and so does how we bring it into our relationships and everyday choices. My contemplative life and experience of spiritual awakening inform my respect for mystery and uncertainty. I believe we can take profound experiences seriously while remaining open to different explanations and attentive to wellbeing. You do not need a tidy story, a spiritual interpretation, or a lesson extracted from suffering to be met with care.
