About My Clients
I work with amazing clients. I help people with trauma (past and present), anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, dissociation, perfectionism, relationship conflict (no couple's counseling) and low self-esteem. My ideal client is someone who is engaged, enjoys learning, and is ready to work on their goals in and out of session.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from the Ohio University in 2003 with a BA in psychology and the Ohio State University in 2005 with a Masters in Social Work. I'm trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), and Ego State Therapy. I love to empower my clients with education, teach coping skills, help them gain insight into themselves and their behavior and decrease their symptoms. I have a relaxed yet assertive style and I like to use my sense of humor when appropriate. I really enjoy helping clients understand themselves and their stories at a deeper level.
