About My Clients
I've worked for twelve years with people experiencing infertility, high risk pregnancies, NICU hospitalization, and bereavement. I have a deep interest in supporting caregivers, clinicians and front line workers, and also have experience helping people in creative professions.
My Background and Approach
Inspired by my own NICU experiences, I have been working with parents and families for the past twelve years as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Family Support Specialist. I have developed support programs for hospitalized families and trained peer counsellors across Canada, and work as a psychotherapist in a Follow up Clinic for NICU graduates. I have a Masters in Adult Education from OISE/UT, and a Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation from York University. I am a graduate of the Toronto Institute of Relational Psychotherapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO and follow their Code of Ethics. I have completed training in maternal and infant mental health and perinatal bereavement support. My primary therapeutic approach is relational; I also really enjoy incorporating Acceptance Commitment Therapy into my practice. I've recently completed training in EMDR.
