About My Clients

I’m passionate about supporting women and femme-identified people who are at a crossroads or unsure how to make sense of something that’s taking up more space than they want in their lives—whether that’s substance use, a relationship, or a job. These situations often bring up fear, frustration, care, and hope all at once. Together, we work toward responses that feel more aligned with your values. I also enjoy working with loved ones of people with substance use disorders.

My Background and Approach

I've got the book-knowledge, but you are the expert of your life. I view therapy as highly collaborative. To do this work, I am extensively trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) and intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Behavior Tech and have worked closely with persons experiencing high emotional distress. While I do not offer full-model DBT at this time, DBT has informed every aspect of my therapeutic work. DBT offers an evidence-based practice for creating a life worth living and increasing skills for emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, and distress tolerance. I have almost ten years of experience as a therapist and have worked in a variety of mental health settings. Together we can help you move towards the life you want.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that change is always possible—and that it doesn’t have to look one specific way. You already have strengths and coping skills, and together we can build on them. Just like a toolbox needs more than one tool, sometimes we all need new strategies to move through life’s challenges. I believe that growth is rarely black and white. My work in harm reduction has taught me that small steps matter. Lasting change often comes from many small shifts that add up over time, and every step forward is worth honoring. I also believe that recovery looks different for everyone. For some, it’s abstinence. For others, it’s about renegotiating their relationship with substances. Both are valid, and both deserve care and respect. Most of all, I believe in your capacity to define what matters most to you. My role is to support you in aligning your choices with your values—and to walk alongside you as you create the life you want.
