About My Clients
Losing a child or spouse is unimaginable. Navigating the aftermath feels impossible. Your life has been shattered by sudden, traumatic loss. You may appear composed on the outside, but inside you're haunted by flashbacks, guilt, panic, or emotional numbness. Maybe you've tried talk therapy before and felt like it didn’t go deep enough. Maybe you want relief now. I help women who are ready to stop reliving the worst day of their lives and start feeling safe, present, and a sense of peace again.
My Background and Approach
I’m a trauma therapist specializing in EMDR therapy for women navigating sudden, life-altering loss—like the unexpected death of a spouse, child, or loved one. My background includes extensive training in EMDR and grief-informed care, with a focus on helping high-functioning women who feel stuck in survival mode. My approach is structured, compassionate, and deeply attuned to the nervous system. I offer 90-minute in-person EMDR intensives in Reston, VA, along with virtual sessions for clients across Virginia, Maryland, DC, Indiana, and Michigan. You don’t have to retell your trauma over and over—I help you process the pain so you can find peace, clarity, and relief.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I went to college, but I didn’t know what kind of therapist I wanted to be or how I wanted to help others until my early 20s when I began EMDR Therapy to help with my own anxiety. After that, I knew I wanted to practice as an EMDR Therapist to help clients with the mental and physical anguish they could be experiencing from unexpected loss and trauma. Since I’ve been practicing as an EMDR Therapist, I’ve worked with clients who’ve witnessed loved ones passing away suddenly, experienced the loss of an unborn child, become abruptly widowed at a young age, and so on. During our work together, these clients went from sleepless nights and uncontrollable emotions, to stable and comforted in a way they didn’t think would ever be possible again. This is why I love what I get to do.
