About My Clients

If you've been living with depression, have struggled with self-worth, or have carried the weight of childhood trauma for years, feeling like nothing you've tried has worked, you're not alone. Many of the people I work with have felt the same way. Together, we work to ease the weight of sadness, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with joy and meaning. I believe that healing is always possible with the right tools and support.

My Background and Approach

My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused, meaning that every session is structured to actively address your goals while emphasizing your strengths, resources, and resilience. In therapy with me, you'll develop greater insight and self-awareness into thought and behavior patterns, and you'll learn practical skills to improve emotional well-being, build independence, and cultivate a sense of mastery over your mental health. During our first session, I complete a biopsychosocial assessment to gain a comprehensive understanding of the factors impacting your mental health, and we begin discussing your treatment goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a trained clinical social worker, my practice is deeply rooted in the values that drew me to this field: social justice, equity, and compassion. I’ve spent much of my career working with underserved communities, both in the U.S. and abroad. After living in South America and becoming fluent in Spanish, I’ve continued to provide free therapy to Spanish-speaking clients who don't have access to mental health services. I believe everyone deserves high-quality, culturally affirming support, especially those who have historically been denied access or underserved. Therapy should be a safe, empowering space for healing and growth, and I strive to create that for every client. At the heart of my practice is the deep belief in the resilience of people, and even when trauma, systemic injustice, or generational challenges have shaped someone's story, I believe that change is possible, even when it doesn't feel like it.
