About My Clients
Hi! I'm Kate (she/her), it's nice to meet you! I'm ADHD, queer, and a domestic violence survivor, so I made these my specialties as a therapist! I'm obsessed with learning about these things, so I have certification as an ADHD-CCSP (Certified Clinical Services Professional), Domestic Violence Training, and I've taken tons of queer and trans trainings. I'll show up to therapy as a real human and your professional therapist. We can process trauma, process the state of the world, whatever you need
My Background and Approach
I became a therapist as a toxic relationship survivor determined to help others reclaim their power. That commitment grew into breaking down walls and pushing back against systems that make care harder to access. I provide gender-affirming letters for HRT and surgeries that are confidential, respectful, and fast, and ADHD & Autism assessments designed to be clear, affirming, and free of unnecessary barriers. My goal is to cut through red tape so you get what you need without extra stress. I’m also the author of Rose Colored Glasses and the Healing from Toxic Relationships Workbook, which share the same mission as my practice: to make healing, clarity, and self-advocacy possible for everyone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In grad school, friends nicknamed me “AdvoKate,” because advocacy is core to who I am. I stand for DV and SA survivors, BLM, LGBTQ+ and trans rights, body autonomy, and climate justice—and I bring that same commitment into therapy. I’ve organized phone banks, canvassed, spoken at city council, visited the CHOP almost daily, and joined countless protests and marches. I believe advocacy isn’t just about changing systems—it can also be deeply healing and empowering for individuals. Sometimes that means big action; sometimes it’s as simple as speaking up for yourself. I also remind clients to put their own mental health first—like putting on your life jacket before helping others. When we’re grounded and ready, advocacy can reconnect us to our strength, our community, and our sense of purpose, which all help our mental health <3
