About My Clients
Whether it is your first or twenty-first time seeking therapy, the process can be overwhelming! I hope to create a safe and supportive space to help you find a path forward that is meaningful to you. I am a queer therapist and have a special interest in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Other areas of interest are life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I see individuals ages 6 and up.
My Background and Approach
I am a master's level counseling intern under the supervision of Jessica Van Berkum. Being in this phase of training means I bring to you the latest research, tools, and perspectives, and I receive ongoing supervision to ensure you’re receiving thoughtful, high-quality care. I bring fresh energy, curiosity, and a deep commitment to our work together. My approach to therapy is person-centered and collaborative, meaning we’ll work together to help you develop your goals and create a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and truly your own.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people grow throughout their lives; there is no set timeline to change. I believe that the intersection of peoples' identities affects the way we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. I believe that positive change can happen in peoples' lives by highlighting and centering values that are important to them. Perhaps most importantly, I believe that therapy can help a lot! As a young person I struggled with various mental health issues and an eating disorder. My personal experience has instilled in me a trust in the therapeutic process and a deep compassion and understanding for people who are struggling, too. I would be honored and grateful to join you in starting your journey towards healing. Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy baking, writing, and playing TTRPGs with friends. I love animals and art and try to incorporate these into the therapeutic process where I can.
