My Background and Approach
I was trained in a trauma-informed model of relational psychodynamic therapy, which holds that because our hurt often occurs in relationship, it is here, where we must heal. I understand my role as therapist to be a radically candid, genuinely curious and deeply human collaborator in your process. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and aim to offer attuned exploration and an open mind, rather than quick solutions to the complex issues that bring you to therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important agents of change within the healing process. It is my hope that our relationship is one characterized as dynamic, collaborative, and open. By illuminating patterns and feeling our way through the emotional terrain of your stories, we may begin to imagine more honoring and lifegiving alternatives that lead you to a more integrated, expansive way of being.
