My goal is to create space for each person to come as they are and find healing and growth, in a non-judgmental, supportive environment. We will dig in to whatever you bring to therapy with curiosity and kindness, and leave open the possibility for change at any time. I am passionate about what I do, and I look forward to working with you.
My Background and Approach
The person-to-person connection in therapy is of the utmost importance to me. I am a deeply compassionate person with a true desire to help others find healing and growth. I bring my authentic self to each therapy session—including my lived experience, sense of humor, and breadth of knowledge about the field—and invite each client to do the same. You will find in me a gentle, warm presence with an unassuming, nonjudgmental approach. I have nearly a decade of experience treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship issues, and much more. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, blending a variety of evidence-based techniques (including CBT, mindfulness, and emotion-focused therapy) with a person-centered lens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the queer community, I bring an abundance of understanding, empathy, and sensitivity when discussing issues of sexuality and gender. While LGBTQ concerns are not themselves clinical issues, I understand how identity intersects with other aspects of mental health, including stigma and marginalization, social climate, and personal safety. You are safe here to come exactly as you are.
