I work best with adults struggling from painful childhoods, trauma, past sexual/physical/emotional abuse, shame/low feelings of self-worth, depression, anxiety, and relationship stress. I welcome all types of people into my practice and especially enjoy creative individuals and working with other therapists/helpers.
My Background and Approach
I am Certified in EMDR, a powerful way to heal from trauma and repeated painful life experiences. EMDR is weaved into our ongoing work together, recognizing a safe and trusting relationship as the container for change and healing. I want to help you listen to yourself and understand yourself better, honoring your inner wisdom and resources you may not be quite in touch with. I have integrated this interpersonal foundation with concepts from attachment theory, the adaptive information processing model, mindfulness practice, coherence therapy and interpersonal neurobiology.
