About My Clients
Have you been finding yourself feeling stuck or lost? Do you often feel shame, guilt or blame toward yourself? Is it becoming harder to connect with yourself, others or the world around you? If you have experienced any of these challenges, know that you are not alone - and that there are pathways to healing. As a companion in this healing process, I welcome those who are willing to explore these areas, to work with curiosity and to engage with change toward our more whole selves.
My Background and Approach
With a master's degree and license (LMHC) in Mental Health Counseling, I have worked with folks struggling with many issues ranging from depression and trauma to relationships and communication. My work often acknowledges systems of oppression as well as historical and intergenerational trauma. My approach uses the therapeutic space to help unlearn shame and trauma and to see how we heal through relationships. In this process we learn to connect with ourselves and others more fully.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mental health counselor, I work to hold a space that consistently acknowledges how institutionalized racism, homophobia/transphobia, and other systemic issues cause harm and impede our transformation. In healing, we must integrate this knowledge with the work we do, inside and outside of session. People have been surviving these systems since their inception. Within each of us and our communities reside tools and insights that can help guide our communities toward liberation. Together we can discover the gifts you carry too and the resources to support you. If you are drawn to this work, reach out for a free consultation to determine whether we are a good fit.
