About My Clients
My clients are teens and adults seeking support for anxiety, life transitions, mood disorders, trauma, sexual assault, and women's issues. My clients can be of any age and gender, but are primarily high school/college students, women, and members of the LGTBQ population. They are individuals who want to work with a therapist who is relational and inclusive and helps them get their life back under control! Not sure if we're a good fit? My Background and Approach
I am a therapist because I live for seeing others finally work through what's been holding them back. I enjoy helping people bring change to what they're most ashamed of or scared of working through. I have a knack for genuinely connecting with those that I work with, so it feels like you are talking to a real person, who not only "gets" you – but who truly sees you. I’ll be right by your side as you do the hard and painful work, maybe even sharing some laughs along the way. Some of my specialties include working with high school & college students and adults who are going through major life transitions, trauma, sexual assault survivors, members of the LGBTQ community, and mood disorders. I have both a Bachelor and Master of Social Work, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed School Social Worker and have over six years of clinical experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is extremely important to me that every client or individual I work with knows that, not only do I do my best to "get" you, I truly want to "see" you. I affirm and support your gender and sexual identity not only during sessions, but by being an active member of the LGBTQ community. I provide low cost advocacy services for special education and racial justice in the school community and provide sliding scale therapy services to those in need. I want to know you, your struggles and your triumphs, and be there for every step of your healing journey.
