About My Clients
Your future is bright, but it also makes you highly anxious. You’ve been told you’re motivated, maybe even a perfectionist. Your friends and family look to you as the model woman of success and doing it “right”. But you know the image is hard to keep up with. Envision a day where you can fall asleep without constant anticipation of tomorrow, your relationships are meaningful, and your core values define your perspective–not your anxiety. Therapy can help empower you and restore the balance.
My Background and Approach
We'll spend time talking about you as a person, not as a diagnosis. Your life, your friends, your career, what inspires you, and what keeps you up at night. We'll find hope by looking at the different ways change is possible, starting with the therapeutic relationship. I'll share with you my lived experience, professional training, and the techniques that have helped myself and others through in the difficult times. Mental health can be complicated, but I'm a firm believer that you know yourself best. I'm simply a guide that helps bring about mental clarity, acting intentionally, validation, and creative solutions to life's challenges as a young adult, woman of color, or someone living with anxiety, self-esteem, and perfectionism.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When I'm not working, I'm eating vegetarian meals, going to the movies, gardening, or planning a trip somewhere. These are just a few of my favorite things. I am also of the mindset that life can be trial and error, but we still deserve happiness and to be accepted, despite feeling like we are the worst version of ourselves. I try to give back to the community, like donating blood and running 5Ks, but sometimes I enjoy a good nap, too. I'm human. I believe I've lived what I've learned, but now am open to learning some new things. Growing. Just like the seeds I plant in my garden.
