My clients tend to be high achieving individuals who want to learn how to continue achieving while learning how to better manage their anxiety, perfectionism, and relationships (with themselves and with others).
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker. I earned my graduate degree from the University of Denver and while there I completed clinical internships with Kaiser Permanente and The University of Colorado School of Medicine. I spent many years seeing patients for addiction and trauma before becoming a faculty member at The School of Medicine. While at CU, I began to focus on treating OCD, OCPD, and perfectionism in high achieving professionals. While at CU I also trained psychiatry residents and masters level clinicians in exposure and response prevention (ERP) techniques, how to accurately diagnose and treat OCD, and how to treat OCD in conjunction with additional diagnoses. I have extensive experience treating substance use disorders, OCD, generalized anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. I work hard to understand clients’ unique situations and move between models of therapy that emphasize behavior change as well as models that focus on understanding the root of our challenges,
