About My Clients
Are you looking for new ways to cope with life challenges? Are you feeling stuck in some aspect of your life? Have you recently gone through a big change? Do you feel like something is missing? I use an integrative approach to help clients get through life’s challenges.
My Background and Approach
I am a natural listener and helper. Since I was a teenager, I’ve practiced yoga, engaged in sound healing, and explored other nontraditional energy medicine techniques for my own wellness and healing journey. These nontraditional modalities helped form my foundational values as I moved on to become a counselor. I obtained my undergraduate degree in drug and alcohol recovery counseling in 2009, which allowed me to help others in a more traditional way, using evidence-based cognitive behavioral techniques. I enjoyed counseling so much that I went on to further my education and skill set, obtaining my MSW in 2013. After receiving my MSW and becoming an LCSW, I continued my training in nontraditional healing modalities, becoming a reiki master practitioner and a 200-hour yoga teacher.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take a holistic approach to wellness and consider all factors, looking at the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — within their environment. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and I am here to guide you. I use an integrative approach in therapy, using traditional CBT techniques, motivational interviewing, somatic therapy, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques along with nontraditional healing modalities. I tailor treatment to each individual and check in frequently to see what is helpful and what is not.
