About My Clients

While I take all clients, age 15-99, I am specialized in caring for Black women and couples. I am specifically interested in helping dispel the myths about the power of emotions and sharing our trauma. I seek to help Black women find their voice and deal with intersectional stress. Similarly, I provide a safe space for Black couples to deal with their individual and collective stress to become healthier partners in the face of oppression and injustice.

My Background and Approach

After an almost twenty year career in the federal government, adjudicating immigration benefits, I changed careers to focus more on the emotional health of individuals dealing with life's stressors and forms of injustice. I hold a Bachelor's and Masters degree in Psychology, and a Juris Doctorate to help effectuate this work. I also work with immigrant populations needing psychological assessment for immigration purposes.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a mother, creative, intellectual, and proud Black woman living in America. I believe strongly in showing compassion and empathy to individuals, and dispelling judgement in furtherance of understanding. I have dedicated myself to public service in my career, and continue to do so providing direct wellness based mental health care to those suffering from emotional disorders or simply dealing with overwhelm and stress.
