About My Clients
Are you struggling at home, work or school, facing stressful or painful events in your life, or simply needing someone to openly listen? If you need help with managing stressors, anxiety, depression and PTSD, you can schedule an appointment with me for help. As a counselor I will work with you as an individual so as to provide a confidential setting while establishing a trusting connection so together, we can explore pathways to your own health and well-being.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling includes different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, and Lifespan Integration (LI)- (https://lifespanintegration.com/). I work with each individual to design a personal plan to help them find their pathway to wholeness. In addition to my years in counseling, I have worked in the foster care system helping to reunite families, and in the educational system guiding students in their studies including career and college choices. I am a graduate of the University of Alabama’s Rehabilitation Counseling program, and my graduate study was focused in the area of substance abuse.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to reach for wholeness of one's mind, body, and soul. My own personal journey of overcoming my past childhood traumas through therapeutic work/support, inspired me as a counselor to specialize in trauma. I look forward to every day as a counselor, helping and inspiring others so that they can begin to hope for the possibilities of growth and healing in their own lives.
