About My Clients
You might believe that if you just tried harder, you’d feel more connected to your baby. But some days, you stare at them and feel… nothing. And then the guilt crashes over you, because aren’t you supposed to feel endless love? Aren’t you supposed to be soaking it all in? You might think that if you say out loud how much you’re struggling, someone will think you’re not a good mom. So instead, you hold it in. You nod and smile when people ask how you’re doing, but inside, you’re drowning.
My Background and Approach
For over a decade, I’ve walked alongside mothers in some of their hardest seasons—in hospital rooms, in their homes, in clinics, and in quiet moments where the weight of it all feels unbearable. I’ve had the honor of supporting hundreds of women, particularly Latinx and BIPOC mothers, through individual therapy, mother-child diads, domestic violence support groups, and mental health care in OB clinics. I’ve provided therapy in both Spanish and English, creating a safe space in New York and LA for women to say the things they’re afraid to say out loud. I’ve pursued advanced training and certification through Postpartum Support International, because I know that postpartum isn’t just the first few months, but instead an identity shift, the emotional unraveling, the lingering weight that can stay with you for years.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At Alma de Madre, I offer trauma-informed, person centered therapy that goes beyond the surface-level advice and meets you exactly where you are. Because you were never meant to do this alone and you don’t have to anymore. You deserve to feel whole again and I’m here to help bring you back to you. Motherhood may have changed you, but it wasn’t meant to erase you. You are still here. Beneath the exhaustion, the anxiety, the weight of it all. There is a version of you that deserves care, support, and healing.
