About My Clients
In my work I specialize in trauma work- specifically working with individuals experiencing PTSD, anxiety, life transitions, immigration and grief and loss. I am passionate about making mental health services accessible and work for the individual, so I practice and prioritize providing support to meet the individual where they are at. I provide a lot of education around trauma and what it does to our brains and bodies and tailor treatment to the needs of the individual.
My Background and Approach
I am an Oregon based Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) from Portland State University in Oregon and went on to complete my masters degree in Social work (MSW) also from Portland State University in 2019. In May of 2022 I gained my clinical license (LCSW) in Oregon. I have over 10 years of experience supporting individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual trauma. I also have over 3 years of working with individuals experiencing multiple forms of trauma including racial trauma, sexual exploitation/trafficking, and youth involved in the juvenile justice system in Oregon. My experience working in different systems, including hospitals, school districts, small non-profits and in the juvenile justice system, has allowed me to grow and learn about the different systems that we all navigate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Bilingual and Bicultural Latinx mental health provider, I am passionate about supporting my community and helping provide services to underserved communities. As a social worker I am deeply committed to working to create an equitable community. This means I practice in an anti-racist and trauma informed way, supporting individuals and validating their experiences, without judgment. I believe that deciding to engage in mental health services begins the process of soul healing. This process looks different for everyone and I would be honored to walk alongside you throughout any part of your soul healing journey.
