About My Clients
I work with teens, adults, parents, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life changes, and feeling emotionally exhausted. I also really enjoy working with people who may be new to therapy or who have had a hard time opening up in the past.
My Background and Approach
Sessions with me are conversational and collaborative. I’ll ask questions, help you look at things from a different angle, and support you in understanding patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We may explore thoughts that keep repeating, past experiences that still affect you, or what is happening in your life right now. I don’t believe therapy has to feel stiff or overly formal. I’m warm, direct, and easy to talk to, and I use humor when it fits. You set the pace, and I won’t push you to share more than you’re ready for. Over time, the goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize strengths you may not be giving yourself credit for, and make changes that feel realistic for your life. I am a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, APCC #14780, working under the clinical supervision of Nora Katz, LCSW #112300.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people usually have more strength and insight than they realize. Therapy isn’t about me telling you what to do. It’s about helping you understand what’s happening, notice what may need to change, and decide what feels right for you. I also believe change doesn’t have to happen all at once. Sometimes one small shift can lead to something much bigger.
