About My Clients
My clients are adolescents, young adults, and adults who are tired of feeling stuck — people ready to do something different and just need the right support to get there. They may be overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or navigating a life transition that feels heavier than expected. Some are parents watching their child struggle. Others are women facing divorce or fertility challenges. What they share is a desire for real, lasting change — not just short-term fixes.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Pinecrest, FL, practicing at South Miami Psychology Group. I am proud to be PSYPACT authorized, allowing me to provide telepsychology services to clients in over 40 participating states across the country. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person I work with. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — but what that really means is that therapy with me is shaped around you. Some people need concrete tools to manage overwhelming emotions — others need space to reflect and be heard. Most need both at different times. I adapt to where you are, not a fixed formula. I offer individual and family therapy in English and Spanish, in person in Pinecrest and via telehealth across Florida and 40+ PSYPACT participating states.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a psychologist because I believe that feeling truly understood is one of our most basic human needs. From a young age I found myself drawn to understanding the emotions and behaviors of others — always wanting the people around me to feel they had someone they could lean on. I also know firsthand what it feels like to need support. Having navigated my own challenges has only deepened my empathy and my commitment to walking alongside others on their journey. One of the most important lessons I carry with me — from both my training and my own life — is that people don't always remember what you say, but they always remember how you made them feel. Whatever brings someone to therapy, my goal is simple: for them to leave each session feeling understood, cared for, and a little lighter than when they walked in. I believe therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, and I am committed to creating a space where every person feels safe, accepted, and genuinely supported.
