About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to look beneath the surface of their symptoms and gently explore the emotional patterns shaping their life. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or the lasting impact of family and generational wounds. Often, they are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. I work best with individuals who value self-reflection, are open to explore themselves.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, trauma, and family systems. My work focuses on helping clients understand the deeper emotional and relational patterns driving their distress, so change is not just symptomatic but lasting. Clients benefit by gaining insight, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of self. I specialize in complex and relational trauma, including childhood and intergenerational trauma, relationship difficulties, and immigration-related stress. I also have extensive experience conducting psychological evaluations for immigration and asylum cases, which brings a high level of clinical rigor, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed care into my therapy work. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and relational, with a strong emphasis on emotional safety and boundaries. Clients often feel more grounded, understood, and empowered to move from survival mode toward more fulfilling and authentic lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a safe, ethical, and respectful space where clients are supported without judgment, agendas, or imposed beliefs. My values center on emotional honesty, compassion, strong boundaries, and cultural sensitivity, with a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I am committed to trauma-informed and socially aware care, and I work in an affirming way with diverse identities, family structures, and life experiences. I hold a strong awareness of how systemic stressors — such as immigration challenges, discrimination, and generational trauma — impact mental health. Above all, I value therapy as a space of dignity and depth, where clients can slow down, feel seen, and move toward healing that is authentic and lasting.
