About My Clients
I work best with teens and young adults navigating trauma, stress, and life transitions. My ideal clients may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck, and are ready to explore their experiences in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. I’m especially passionate about serving individuals from underserved communities and those seeking affordable care, helping them build coping skills, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
My Background and Approach
I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) student and clinician-in-training with experience supporting teens and young adults navigating trauma, stress, and life transitions. My work is grounded in trauma-informed and client-centered approaches, including elements of CBT, helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I have experience working in community-based settings with individuals facing systemic barriers, which allows me to provide care that is both compassionate and culturally responsive. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported, while also offering practical tools to manage anxiety, build coping skills, and improve overall well-being. My goal is to help clients gain insight, feel more in control of their lives, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a Black, bisexual woman, and my lived experiences deeply shape the way I show up for my clients. I am passionate about creating a safe, affirming space for individuals of all identities, especially those who may have felt unseen or unsupported in other settings. I actively support causes centered around racial equity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and community empowerment. Outside of my clinical work, I volunteer at a homeless shelter where I help provide meals and connect individuals to resources. I also intern with a Black maternal health nonprofit, supporting efforts to improve outcomes and care for Black families. I stay involved in multiple community-based groups focused on giving back to the community that raised me. These experiences allow me to bring empathy, cultural awareness, and real-world understanding into the work I do with clients.
