About My Clients
Is something getting in the way – keeping you stuck – from truly living life and experiencing joy? Is pain from your past or worries about the future making it hard to enjoy the present? Do you long to have more fulfilling relationships with others? If any of these statements sound like you, I want you know there is hope!
My Background and Approach
I work with individuals and couples. I help people experience relief from shame, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, inner criticism, and trauma, often through self-understanding and self-compassion. Within this scope, my work is culturally sensitive and mindful of diverse identities. I offer therapy via telehealth and outdoors. I invite you to learn more about me and my approach, and to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to further explore what it would be like to work with me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Being born and raised in Hawaii means that I have been steeped in a rich, multicultural environment with its own unique issues. I am an ally of Native Hawaiians, marginalized populations, LGBTQ+ individuals, workers, and those affected by environmental issues. It involves educating oneself about Hawaii’s history, supporting the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous people, advocating for racial and social justice, and standing up for economic and environmental equity. Allies play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive, supportive, and fair community that respects the diverse people and cultures of the islands. In Hawaii, where ‘ohana and aloha are core values, being an ally isn’t just about supporting others—it’s about understanding that we are all connected, and that everyone deserves to thrive.
