My Background and Approach
My philosophy is centered on treating the mind, body, and soul as a whole for long-lasting healing. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Nutrition, I’m now completing my Graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My goal is to incorporate a treatment plan made specifically for you and your lifestyle that will benefit you in every area of your life that can lead to long-lasting results. As Maya Angelou said, "People may forget what you say, people may forget what you do, but people will never forget how you make them feel." With that, I hope to make every interaction meaningful and worthwhile. Thank you for considering me as your counselor, and I look forward to working together!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a black female born to imperfect parents. Being raised in difficult times and neighborhoods has afforded me the opportunity to learn and grow with multiple diverse groups, including LGBTQ. Being raised on the West Coast in such a liberal state, it was normal to see so many different races, classes, religions, and gender identities. I believe in allowing others to show up as their authentic selves in my presence and be proud. I believe in fighting for the underdog, the unseen & unheard, the misunderstood and misrepresented. I value human life, I believe in you.
