About My Clients
I work with adults, teens, parents, and couples dealing with trauma, relationship struggles, divorce, and stress. You might feel overwhelmed, shut down, reactive, or stuck in the same patterns. Together we slow things down and work in a deeper, body-based way so real change can happen.
My Background and Approach
My style is interactive, down-to-earth, and real. I’m not a sit-back-and-just-listen therapist—I’m engaged, honest, and actively working with you in the process. Most people come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in patterns they don’t fully understand. You might overreact and regret it, shut down when things matter, feel anxious or disconnected, or keep running into the same struggles in relationships. You don’t have to know why it’s happening to start—we’ll figure that out together. In our work, we focus on what’s happening in real time—your reactions, emotions, and patterns—not just talking about the past. As we begin to understand how your system learned to cope, we also help it learn something new. That’s where real change happens. I use a trauma-informed, body-based approach along with practical tools you can actually use in your daily life. This isn’t just insight—it’s learning how to steady yourself, respond differently, and feel more connected and in control.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people do the best they can with what they’ve learned—and that emotional struggles often make sense once we understand where they come from. Anxiety, shutdown, reactivity, conflict in relationships, or feeling disconnected are not random; they are patterns that usually develop over time in response to stress, relationships, and early experiences. We all learn ways to cope, protect ourselves, and stay connected to others. Sometimes those strategies continue long after they’re helpful and start getting in the way of the life and relationships we want. I believe healing is a process of becoming aware of these patterns without judgment, understanding what they were trying to do, and gently creating new ways of responding. This isn’t about blaming the past or forcing change—it’s about building awareness, choice, and nervous system capacity so you can respond differently in your life today. Over time, this can lead to emotional steadiness, self-trust, and connected relationships.
