About My Clients

My ideal client wants change and/or growth. You may be coping with past trauma, overwhelming emotions, a difficult relationship, or just want to understand yourself and your world better. You are willing to be open, take the time, and make the effort. You are looking for your true voice and maybe even your inner wisdom. I have a great deal of experience with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stage of life and life transition issues, grief, and many other concerns

My Background and Approach

Therapy is an art as well as a science. My approach is eclectic and integrative. I can work with treatments like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I always remember that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor for growth and change. I have been a therapist for over 20 years and strive to bring kindness, candor, practicality and depth to each session.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe a good life is one where you feel your life has purpose and meaning. It is one where you are connected to your authentic self, to other people, and to a sense of greater good. I try to create these things in my life by volunteering with a TNR group and by being a member of a political committee. I am a book person (you book people out there know what I mean).
