About My Clients
I see children ages 3-11 for play therapy with a wide variety of diagnoses that includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, and Grief and Loss. I also see children struggling academically socially or with behavioral disruptions.
My Background and Approach
I earned my undergraduate degree, Bachelors in Psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude, at Nyack College in Nyack, New York. I went on to earn my Masters in Professional Counseling at Georgia State University in 2001. I have worked with families in crisis and completed intensive clinical reports, helping the Department of Family and Children Services with high-risk children that have been placed in foster care. In 2004, I began doing play therapy with young children under the supervision of a renowned Registered Play Therapy Supervisor and have treated children since 2004 as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that children know what they need to work on and that their play will take them to where they need to go for healing.
