About My Clients
Sometimes, we need to breathe, to center ourselves, to listen to our inner-selves, to learn how to take care of us and to set boundaries in order to do so. Life and relationships can be exhilirating for some and challenging for others. Our past impacts how we see and carry ourselves in the world, thus sometimes we need to understand ourselves, our needs, to be able to grow and find our peace. I am here to take the journey with you to support your growth, with curiosity, patience, and hope.
My Background and Approach
I have worked at the Columbia University Medical Center for past 20 years in a family clinical setting providing out-patient mental health to adults and children. I have a wealth of experience in direct care as well as in training other clinicians in trauma, comorbid disorders, HIV care and Women's Health and other related topics. I have also worked as an adjunct instructor at Columbia University-Graduate School of Social Work. I have been practicing mental health in NYC for the past 25+ years working with a variety of populations in different parts of the city both at a community level and in private practice (for the past 15 years). I have been trained in evidenced based approaches and also value and respect cultural and spiritual healing practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an LGBTQ ally, I value all of people and respect diversity, stand for social justice and equality.
