I love helping individuals and couples discover tools, new mindsets and to assist in helping see more clearly the path ahead. Clients enjoy working with me who desire someone to process life transitions, feeling stuck, and finding your unique path.
My Background and Approach
In sessions, I provide a safe and trusting environment, will empower you to discover unused resources and strengths and will sift through what areas are ineffective and need changing. Clients enjoy working with me who desire a therapist who provides process oriented therapy (prodding you along with questions) coupled with receiving direct feedback, suggestions and insights as I build rapport with you and gain understanding of the issues at hand. I have a decade of experience treating adult individuals and couples. I take a holistic approach, utilizing specific tools from DBT and the Gottman Method.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value caring for myself physically, mentally and spiritually. Through my own therapy, I've learned to prioritize what I need to live my best life. In turn, I'm passionate about others discovering this for themselves. You'll find me outside on my mountain bike or hiking my dogs weekly. I've found tools to manage my mental and spiritual well being through a practice of mindfulness, meditation, yoga and ongoing counseling. I value having a strong and connected family unit and consider myself blessed to have a wonderful husband, 2 curious and amazing kids (age 12 and 9) and 2 active dogs.
